What's in the name?

Two children.
One firm.

Revir is a name we made. It joins the first letters of the Shah family's two children — a small daily reminder that everything we acquire, renovate, and steward is meant to outlast us.

The firm represents quality housing for the people who live in our buildings, sustainable cash flow for the partners who back them, and trusted relationships with the municipalities, lenders, brokers, and operators we work with every day.

We work with bankers, investors, residents, service providers, brokers, off-market sellers, municipalities, vendors, and property managers — all aligned around one idea: real estate done right outlives the people who do it.

We source off-market and broker-introduced opportunities through twenty years of relationships in the Chicago metro — direct sellers, regional brokers, municipalities, and lenders.

Underwrite

Every deal is underwritten conservatively. We model rent growth on submarket comps, not optimism. If it doesn't pencil in a flat market, we pass.

Reposition

Targeted capex on the items residents notice — kitchens, baths, common areas, landscaping. We renovate to last, not to flip. Every dollar earns its place in the budget.

Operate & hold

We hold for the long term and run a tight ship: responsive maintenance, transparent leasing, on-time vendor payments. The compounding starts here.
